On the morning of December 4, 2025, in Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the Opening Ceremony of the Supporting Industries Exhibition \u2013 Forum and the 2025 Supply Chain Supply\u2013Demand Matching Conference officially took place.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Supporting Industries Association (HASI), in close coordination with relevant state management agencies and partner industry associations. It demonstrated strong efforts to connect the business community, government authorities, and professional organizations in promoting the development of Vietnam\u2019s supporting industries ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the theme \u201cSelf-Reliance \u2013 Resilience \u2013 Honoring Vietnamese Enterprises,\u201d the event brought together a wide range of domestic and international enterprises to share solutions, technologies, and development orientations aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam\u2019s supporting industries. The program also provided an important platform to expand cooperation, strengthen business linkages, and enable Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in global supply chains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within the exhibition framework, a series of specialized seminars and industry roundtables were held, featuring insights from leading experts and enterprises in the supporting industries sector. These sessions focused on supporting Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises in improving competitiveness, meeting global investor requirements, and identifying opportunities within international supply chains.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the afternoon, the Forum on \u201cPromoting the Development of Vietnam\u2019s Supporting Industries in the Global Supply Chain\u201d was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI), HASI, and the Institute for Policy and Strategy Development Management (IPADS). The forum reflected the strong commitment and determination of stakeholders to enhance the scale, quality, and capacity of Vietnam\u2019s supporting industry products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delivering the opening remarks, Ms. Cao Thi Phi Van, Deputy Director of ITPC, highlighted that Vietnam\u2019s economy has reached a historic milestone, with total import\u2013export turnover surpassing USD 801 billion as of November 15, including exports of USD 410.28 billion and imports of USD 390.74 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 19.54 billion. However, the import structure continues to reveal substantial demand for components and semi-finished products, such as computers, electronic products and components (USD 6.62 billion), and machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts (USD 2.59 billion), indicating significant growth potential for the supporting industries sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the forum, Ms. Truong Thi Chi Binh, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of VASI, noted that Vietnam\u2019s supporting industries network currently comprises more than 420 member enterprises, generating revenues exceeding USD 4.58 billion in 2024, primarily concentrated in major economic hubs such as Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises are supplying products to key industries including automotive, motorcycle manufacturing, shipbuilding, electronics, semiconductors, renewable energy, medical devices, and aerospace, while also showing positive signs of export expansion in demanding markets such as North America and Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the forum, delegates discussed critical issues such as logistics costs, quality control, technology investment, digital transformation, and the development of technical human resources, sharing experiences and proposing solutions to foster the sustainable and long-term development of Vietnam\u2019s supporting industries.<\/span><\/p>\n
